The Benefits of an Adjustable Bed

I sell beds for a living so naturally I want everyone to sleep on the very best. In my opinion the very best is an adjustable sleep set. We carry over 30 styles of mattresses to put on top of the adjustable base so it’s up to you if you want foam, air, coils, soft, hard, pillowtop or gel.

The most common objections to an adjustable bed are

1. “I’m not that old yet”. Well, it’s not just for gramma and grandpa anymore. We “young” people work hard and our body’s deserve to the best support we can get. Sleeping with your head and legs elevated takes all the pressure off your lower back. It improves your blood circulation which in turn heals minor aches and pains.

2.It won’t work with my bed frame. The bases are designed specifically to work with any existing frame you have or stand alone

3. “It’s too expensive” We have queen Vivon memory foam or Sealy posturpedic mattresses on adjustable bases starting at only $1299. Tempurpedic has just come out with a new economical mattress too.

If you come into my store after 5:30 at night the chances are good you’ll find my husband taking a quick rest on his favorite bed. It just so happens to be a Tempurpedic Ergo adjustable bed. When I tell him it’s time to go home he asked for just 5 more minutes. The best testimonial I have is that I can’t wait to get mine delivered!

Please keep your law tag! You know the one. It’s at the head of the bed. Plenty of jokes are made about it. The infamous little tag on your mattress has been the butt of jokes for decades. For years, many people actually believed that they would be breaking the law if the tag were removed. The phrase remove a tag and go to jail would make a hilarious public service announcement.

In the early part of the twentieth century, a common practice among certain unscrupulous merchants was to sell bedding that was stuffed with everything from straw and horse hair to paper and old rags. As laws protecting the rights of consumers begin to evolve so did the need to provide consumers with easy to understand information. This need led to the requirement to list the contents of bedding materials like mattresses and pillows. Serious public health issues were at stake and officials reacted with what turned out to be relatively simple, common sense regulations.

The tags and other information provided by manufacturers and retailers is very important. The last few years has seen an emphasis on incorporating more fire safe materials into the production of mattress. The funny tag is a very important way to communicate vital information to consumers and reassure them that the products they buy are indeed safe.

So yes YOU the consumer can remove the tag, BUT please keep it in a safe place. It will void any manufactures warranty on the mattress.

On a side note, stains also void warranty’s. Get a good mattress pad.

Telling a customer their warranty is void is not fun. Read your warranty card that comes attached to the bed.
